Choulot replaced the French formal park of the 17th century by a English style park, punctuated by many garden follies and bridges, which have now disappeared. Nonetheless the paths wander through the mature parkland following the original plan of Choulot, which can be seen in the lounge area located off the main courtyard of the castle.
This green promenade is an agreeable extension of the visit to the castle, after seeing the apartments and the formal gardens.
A park for relaxation and repose
Perfect for relaxation and games, the park offers an agreeable walk on woodland paths with views of the castle and the countryside and surrounding villages, flower beds and remarkable trees, including a majestic Cedar of Lebanon at the entrance to the park.
Our commitment to nature
As part of our environmental approach, gardeners act to preserve the domaine with the best of modern ecological practices. Chemical weeding is prohibited, in favour of manual or mechanical weeding.
The plants are treated with products made from ecological and natural substances. The implantation of ladybug larvae also contributes to our environmentally friendly approach to our gardens and park.
